Volunteers Needed! Help build Prothonotary Warbler nest boxes!

March 26, 2017 - Lafayette, LA

RSVP with Katie Percy, Audubon Louisiana’s Avian Biologist:

Help Audubon Louisiana and the Acadiana Nature Station deploy Prothonotary Warbler nest boxes. You will also learn how you can help Audubon Louisiana’s ongoing research about Prothonotary Warbler nesting and migration by becoming a volunteer nest box monitor at the Acadiana Nature Station. Volunteer monitors are needed to help check nests twice a week between April and July.

8:00 – 8:30 Introduction to Prothonotary Warbler ecology and research
8:30 – 9:30 Assemble nest boxes
9:30 – noon Deploy nest boxes

Please bring: 1 can of camouflaged spray paint (brown, olive, etc.) OR 1 pack of 64-oz Tupperware containers, & sturdy footwear (ideally knee boots)
